Kimitoöns solsystem is Finland’s largest scale model of the solar system – the scale is 1:136,000,000.

It’s also Finland’s largest work of art, measuring almost 52 kilometers across.

Go on a journey to discover the great distances between the quite small planets! You will also see the appearance of each planet’s surface.

The work, created by Alexander Ginlund and Kurt Asplund, is currently under construction and consists of oil paintings spread out across the municipality of Kimitoön.

On the map, you can click all the celestial bodies that have been installed so far.
