Pluto
BENGTSKÄR LIGHTHOUSE

10 km

During many years, Pluto was considered the smallest and outermost planet in the Solar System. Today Pluto is considered a dwarf planet.

Pluto was discovered by Clyde Tombaugh as late as 1930. Thus, when the Bengtskär lighthouse was built in 1906, no one had any idea that Pluto existed.

It was not until 2015 that we received clear images of Pluto’s surface. It turned out that Pluto had a large heart of ice.
